BIG MEET SUMMIT
resilience and innovation
28 september
The first day of Big Meet is given entirely to one of the most urgent questions of our time: Resilience.
In society, in the food system, and in the economy. Through perspectives from Ukraine, Finland and Sweden, we ask what it really takes to build systems that hold under pressure. We go where few conferences dare: can the economy grow within planetary boundaries, and which companies are already turning that into a competitive advantage? And underneath it all, how do we protect the biodiversity that makes any of it possible?
Full program for both days will be announced in August.
tradition and innovation
29 september
Day 2 of Big Meet belongs entirely to the people who feed us every day: the chefs, restaurateurs, and food service professionals shaping what ends up on the plate.
We will trace how the oldest food traditions — fermentation, preservation, the radical use of everything — are not just traditions of the past but blueprints for the future, sparking innovation. We ask the question the industry rarely pauses long enough to consider: what does it actually mean to cook with intention? And can a restaurant do well and do good at the same time? At the Big Meet we will hear from those who are already proving it, like zero-waste warrior Douglas McMaster and Dan Barber of Blue Hill.
This year we are using Taste as a strategic tool to explore solutions for the food system. To our help we have leading chefs, entrepreneurs and experts from all over the world.
And of course – through our now legendary Test Kitchen – where we will dissect what’s already out there and learn what’s about to arrive.
