Michael Martin, Ph.D.
Michael Martin is a researcher who focuses on developing and assessing the implications of sustainable urban agricultural systems through the use of urban residual materials and energy for food production in cities. His research also focuses on how environmental footprinting and circularity can be used to encourage sustainable production and consumption, where he leads several national and international projects. Michael is an Adjunct Professor in Sustainable Production and Consumption Systems at KTH. He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Systems Analysis and Environmental Management from Linköping University. Michael is a hobby garage mushroom and vertical farmer and homebrewer, which inspires his research towards sustainable food systems.
