Recently retired, from 1991 to 2022 he was a member of the Shareholders Committee Henkel AG & Co KGaA, since 1994 its Vice Chairman. Henkel is a consumer and industrial products company with €22bn turnover, headquartered in Germany.

CH has held various positions with The Marshalk Company in NY, Nestle SA in Switzerland and the USA as well as Henkel AG in various management positions in Germany, Austria and the US.

He has founded Canyon Equity LLC as developer and owner of iconic Hotels, such an Amangiri and Dunton Destination Resorts. He is an investor in several start-ups as well.

Henkel is a Trustee of IntoUniversity London, an educational charity in the UK in addition to being Chairman of three Foundations in Germany benefiting students and universities in Germany.
