Ari Melamud is responsible for driving DouxMatok’s global expansion and leading fundraising efforts to scale up the organization. Melamud will propel accelerated commercialization of DouxMatok’s sugar-based sugar reduction solution, Incredo® Sugar, executing upon partnerships in the U.S., Israel, Europe and beyond. He will also oversee continued research and development of technology-based solutions and potential new applications for overall better nutrition in a variety of food categories, and assist in growing the team with well-experienced professionals in the food and ingredients industry. Melamud shares DouxMatok’s passion to make the world a happier and healthier place by pioneering efficient delivery of flavors and curbing the overconsumption of sugar, and will lead the team in actualizing its ambitious vision at scale. Melamud brings over two decades of executive management experience across consumer goods marketing, advertising and B2B specialty ingredients, providing a diverse background, unique perspective and strategic fit to lead DouxMatok. Notably, Melaud has held CEO positions with both Kimberly-Clark and most recently, Sharon Laboratories. Melamud held various marketing roles at Kimberly-Clark, the largest non-food CPG company in Israel, before serving as both the CEO of Israel and the CEO of Turkey. He then served as CEO for Publicis Israel, the largest advertising group in the market. In his most recent role with Sharon Laboratories, a company that develops and provides specialty ingredients to the food and global personal care industries in over 70 countries, Melamud drove strategic growth for the company and oversaw a significant investment into research and development to expand into new segments, which resulted in doubling the company’s total sales under his supervision.
